Hope Ames Souper Bowl Food Drive

Feb. 3-9, 2025

Souper Bowl Food Drive

Help us stock the shelves of our local food pantries in the Story and Boone County areas!

Here’s the game plan:

  • Bring nonperishable food items and hygiene products (tackle the suggested grocery list below for the most needed items) to The Link (3329 Lincoln Way) from Feb. 3-6, 8 or to church on Feb. 9!
  • Shop and donate in-store at the Downtown Ames, North Ames, or Story City Fareway on Feb. 8
  • Financial donations are also accepted in person via check (noting “Souper Bowl Food Drive” in the memo field) or online
  • Pray! Join us in praying for the pantries and community members who are receiving these items. Even though we don’t know who they are, we pray God’s blessing over them.

Please remember to check expiration dates on your donations as expired items cannot be donated to pantries.  For safety reasons, please, no glass items.

Get in the game & volunteer at Fareway!

This isn’t possible without YOU! We are looking for volunteers to stand in local Fareways on Feb. 8 and invite people in our community to help fill the local food pantries. If they feel called to feel called to pick up an extra item while shopping, you will collect those donations and at the end of the shift, you’ll bring donations to The Link.
