Weddings at Hope Ames
Weddings are a joyous occasion, and we are excited that you are considering Lutheran Church of Hope for your ceremony. Starting in January 2026, Hope Ames will begin scheduling ceremonies for 2027 at our building at 5119 W Lincoln Way
Our hope is for all those who are married in our church will feel the love of their family, friends, and their church home on their wedding day. We pray all those who enter our buildings come to know Jesus better through scripture readings, music and a message during the ceremony.
At Hope Ames, weddings are scheduled in the Worship Center each Saturday. Due to the high volume of requests, we schedule weddings at Hope for those who are church members or those who have made Hope their church home through regular attendance at worship service or other ministry events.

Pre-Marriage Class
Hope pastors expect all couples to attend one of the pre-marriage classes offered at Hope. Hope believes couples should begin a married relationship with as many tools as they can gather for a lifetime of growth together. By participating in the class, couples are making an important decision to invest more deeply in what God has given—each other and a loving relationship.
The Pre-Marriage Class consists of five weekly sessions or one weekend class where couples look more intentionally at their relationship. Facilitators share thoughts and insights into building a healthy and growing relationship that lasts a lifetime. Couples will also discover ways to ensure the relationship thrives. Hope offers the Pre-Marriage Class four times each year.
Wedding Fee
The basic fee for a full wedding at Hope Ames in 2027 is $350.00. The fee includes the facility (1 hour for the rehearsal & 4 hours for the ceremony), assistance of the wedding director to coordinate dates, times, officiant and wedding coordinators for the day of the ceremony. The fee also includes a Hope production tech to assist with all production needs, including microphones & music, the day of the ceremony. The pastor honorarium is not included in the basic fee. This is a gift to the officiating pastor in an amount of your choice.

Please note: As Lutheran Church of Hope is one church in multiple locations, the wedding ministry follows the same guidelines regardless of the campus. Ceremony times, location of ceremony and dimensions are campus-specific; however, all other guidelines remain the same.
